Matt Cox became a member of the Board of Directors in 2008, upon seeing the remarkable progress of his son Benjamin after a year of receiving therapy at UCP.  Matt is a private attorney, focusing on government incentives and state lobbying.  Matt is a member of the Triathlon Committee and has been a member of Team UCP since 2008. In 2010, Matt, Ben and his family celebrated Ben’s achievements by participating in the Cleveland Triathlon and walking across the finish line together. They have chronicled Ben’s achievements through video and on the web to inspire other families as well.

Sean Wenger joined the UCP board in 2010 through an introduction from Business Volunteers Unlimited. Sean has taken an active role with the board and has served on the finance and governance committees. For the last few years, Sean has enjoyed participating in the Cleveland Triathlon as a member of “Team Niko”. Professionally, Sean has worked the last 10 years in the energy sector with Johnson Controls Inc. Sean holds a MBA from Case Western Reserve University and lives on the West Side of Cleveland with his wife Katie and son Alec.

Beth EatonBeth Eaton, Treasurer

Beth Eaton joined the Board of Directors in 2008 after becoming acquainted with the agency through Business Volunteers Unlimited. She has been providing middle market commercial banking clients with comprehensive and customized financial solutions since 1989.  She had fifteen years of experience in various capacities in banking in Albany, New York before moving to Cleveland in 2003.  Beth has an MBA from the University at Albany and spent a year in Sao Paulo, Brazil on a yearlong Rotary Exchange Scholarship.  She was actively involved in the business and civic community in Albany, and has brought that dedication to community to Cleveland.  She is a graduate of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Flagship Class of 2006 and a former Trustee of the Bay Village Education Foundation.  Beth resides in Bay Village with her husband Dave and two children, Chris and Maddie.  In addition to acting as UCP Treasurer, Beth has been a member of the Triathlon Committee and active Team UCP participant and fundraiser.

Ethan Hendrickx joined the UCP board in 2010 through an introduction from the board chair after completing the “role of the Board” session through Business Volunteers Unlimited. Ethan has taken an active role with the board and serves on the executive and development committees. For the last few years, Ethan has either been involved with the Cleveland Triathlon as a participant or volunteer. Professionally, Ethan has worked the last 10+ years in the employee benefit consulting field and is currently Area Vice President for Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc (a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher – NYSE-AJG).
