You can advance the mission of UCP of Greater Cleveland with your donation of time and talent! Becoming an agency volunteer is a great way to help the agency reduce administrative costs while providing quality programming throughout Northeast Ohio!
UCP of Greater Cleveland provides services to over 1,500 children and adults with a range of disabilities each year. Working directly with clients can be an enriching and life-changing experience for people of all ages. Opportunities are available at the UCP Wolstein Center and UCP Westlake during normal business hours, as well as in our two Group Homes during evening and weekend hours.
Volunteers working with clients provide a variety of services, including recreation and social engagement, community outings and gatherings, mentoring, assistance with activities such as gardening and artwork, assistance with therapy sessions and presentations on relevant topics. All volunteers who work directly with clients are required to undergo background checks and may be subject to drug screenings. All applicants are interviewed and trained in their position.
As good stewards of the funds donated to the organization, over 92 cents of every dollar raised at UCP directly impacts programming. In order to keep these costs down, UCP utilizes community volunteers for administrative and clerical support throughout the year. Both on-going and time-limited projects are available.
UCP of Greater Cleveland has a comprehensive specials events program to support client and community services. Volunteer opportunities are available at the Race to Empower 5k, the Tee Up for UCP Golf Outing and the Cleveland Triathlon.
