CURRENT PRESS RELEASES

Patricia S. Otter Named Executive Director

Patricia S. Otter was named Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland on December 18, 2007 by the Board of Directors. Ms. Otter was Interim Executive Director of the agency for four months before being named Executive Director. Mr. Robert J. Titmas, Jr., President of the Board of Directors, stated that the appointment was “made after a deliberate process to evaluate the needs of the agency. The Board concluded that Ms. Otter’s work-ethic, understanding of the agency, and leadership skills made her the obvious choice of the Board.”

Ms. Otter is “delighted to have the opportunity to expand the mission of United Cerebral Palsy by serving additional clients and developing new and innovative programs.” New adult service classrooms are being developed in Westlake in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Other new projects are in the planning stage and will be finalized during a strategic planning process scheduled for later in the year.

Before being named Executive Director, Ms. Otter served as Director of Human Resources at the agency for six years. She has an extensive background in human resources in financial environments and worked in administrative and management positions at National City Bank and Charter One Bank. She earned a BA from Baldwin-Wallace College with an emphasis on Business Administration.

The mission of United Cerebral Palsy is to advance the independence, productivity and citizenship of people with disabilities. The organization provides services to over 1,500 individuals annually through children’s services, vocational services and residential services.
