ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY - SERVICES OFFERED
Augmentative Communication
A variety of low- and high-tech Augmentative Communication services are available. A licensed speech-language pathologist assesses an individual's ability to utilize voice output systems, and symbols and switches to effectively communicate with others. Intervention includes training the consumer and support partners to effectively use augmentative/alternative communication equipment, and to integrate components with other technologies.
Computer Access Services
Computer Access Services are available in both facility and community settings. An array of assistive technology adaptations and alternatives enhance our consumers' access to the personal computer in employment, educational and home settings. Use of the computer increases and improves the capabilities of program participants and often results in greater employment opportunities.
