CHILDREN'S SERVICES - OTHER SERVICES OFFERED
School-Based Services enable area school districts to contract with United Cerebral Palsy for physical, occupational and speech-language therapy services. United Cerebral Palsy now works with over 200 children in six of the Cleveland area school districts. In addition, we provide in-service workshops on assistive technology along with customized training on specific equipment. Our staff is knowledgeable about the Individual Education Plan(IEP) process and dedicated to the philosophy of early intervention. Services are carefully coordinated with school staff and parents to help maximize each child's ability to succeed in school.
For information, please e-mail Intesar Taye or call her at (216) 791-8363, Ext. 247.
Early Intervention Service Coordination is a collaboration with the Cuyahoga County “Help Me Grow” initiative to coordinate services for children, ages birth to three, with developmental delays or diagnosed medical conditions and those who are at-risk of developing them. The agency recognizes that early intervention is extremely valuable when treating children with disabilities.
United Cerebral Palsy's partnership with “Help Me Grow” expanded in January 2005 when the agency hired a full-time service coordinator. At that time, seven children were receiving services. Today, the agency has five service coordinators.
For information, please e-mail Celia Chesnick or call her at (216) 791-8363, Ext. 260, or call Help Me Grow directly at (216) 736- 4300.
