VOCATIONAL SERVICES - COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT
Community Employment is a program that fosters personal financial independence for adults with disabilities through skill building, job training, placement assistance, coaching and follow-along support. Individuals with disabilities are given the opportunity to work in integrated settings either through supported group or individual placements.
Considered a model for replication, United Cerebral Palsy's Community Employment Program is and has been recognized by the Rehabilitation Services Commission, Region V for improving employment outcomes for adults.
INTERFACE is a paid employment-training program that helps prepare individuals for general office employment. Training and paid remunerative work are provided in an actual business setting within the offices of KeyCorp. Abilities, skills and interests are assessed, and participants are provided with practical exposure to important clerical operations. A high percentage (80-85%) of INTERFACE graduates become employed in positions directly related to the training they received in the program.
