It is the policy of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland (the organization) to value your right to privacy on the World Wide Web. Following is a detailed description of the Privacy Policy for the organization's Web site. We provide easy access to this policy on every page of our Web site. However, the organization is not responsible for the privacy practices of any Web site that is linked to the organization's Web site. Questions regarding this policy may be sent to the organization's site coordinator at ksega@ucpcleveland.org. This Privacy Policy is subject to change.

Credit Card Security
United Cerebral Palsy thanks you for your support and has taken every measure to ensure the security of your online donations. When you make an online donation and choose to pay by credit card, your browser is connected to our e-commerce bank's secure web server using communication protocol called SSL. Once that secure connection is established, the communication between your web browser and the bank's server is encrypted so that all of your personal information, including credit card number and name, cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

Your credit card information is secured through Nova viaKLIX, one of the most widely used secure-payment services available today. Processing nearly 4 million transactions each month, Nova viaKLIX provides customers with secure, reliable online payment processing. Nova uses encryption technology and stores transaction information on its secure computers located in its locked data center. No credit card information is passed through or stored on our server. To learn more about Nova, visit their website at www.novainfo.com.

We also take great care to secure all of your personal information, including credit card number, off-line. Only authorized personnel within our offices who are charged with specific duties related to your donation are granted access to your personal information.

Additionally, United Cerebral Palsy maintains its own server and carefully monitors its security. Only authorized information systems employees have access to the organization's server.

Refund Policy
All donations are final on the 5th business day following the transaction. Requests for refunds will not be honored after this date.

Personally Identifiable Information
Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to, first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone and fax number, and email addresses. The organization does not collect personally identifiable information unless it is voluntarily and knowingly given to us. It is not necessary to register on the organization's site to gain access to most of the information available on the site.

United Cerebral Palsy does not sell, rent, share or disclose your personally identifiable information with or to other organizations. You may amend your personally identifiable information or change the purpose for which it was sent to us at any time. If you make a donation in memory or honor of another individual, the same policy applies to that individual's personally identifiable information.

Links to Other Sites
Because much of our site is information-driven, we frequently provide links to other Web sites which contain information and resources that our visitors may find useful. These sites operate independently of the organization and have established their own privacy and security practices. We encourage you to independently review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
