UCP of Greater Cleveland offers full-time and part-time employees a competitive and comprehensive benefits package based on the number of hours worked weekly.

Health, Dental and Vision Insurance

UCP of Greater Cleveland Health, Dental and Vision Insurance has changed to an online marketplace through Medical Mutual Insurance.  Employees are able to choose a health insurance plan that best meets their needs. Employees working regularly scheduled hours of 30 or more weekly can elect Health, Dental and/or Vision Insurance. Employees working regularly scheduled hours of 20 to 29 weekly have the opportunity to elect Vision and/or Short Term Disability Insurance coverage. UCP of Greater Cleveland offers multiple health insurance plans which include two Health Savings Accounts medical plans with a Health Savings Plan.

Other Voluntary Plans

In addition to the benefits listed above, UCP of Greater Cleveland also offers additional Voluntary Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance that can be purchased for employees and their family members; Voluntary Critical Illness; Voluntary Accident Care; and Voluntary Identity Theft Protection.

Short Term Disability Insurance (STD)

STD Income Protection Insurance is available at the employee’s cost from a minimum of $100 up to 60% of their weekly earnings, not to exceed $1,250 in weekly benefits.  Monthly cost is determined by the amount elected and age.

Paid Vacation

Paid vacation allowance ranges from 2-4 weeks per year in the first year, depending on the job position.  Vacation allowance may increase at 5 and/or 10 years of service.

Paid Holidays

UCP observes 11 paid holidays.  These are:  New Years (2 days), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, a floating holiday in honor of Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas (2 days).

Life and AD&D Insurance

At no cost to you, UCP provides you a Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit, equal to two (2) times your annual salary.

Long Term Disability Insurance

If you become disabled and are unable to work due to injury or sickness, you may become eligible to receive disability pay.  UCP provides this benefit to you at no cost.

401 (k) Tax Deferred Retirement Plan

After six (6) months of continuous employment, employees working 500 hours or more per year are eligible to enroll in a 401(k) Retirement Plan.  The Agency will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% of your annual salary.  Choose the investment vehicles that are the most appropriate for your lifestyle.  Full details and disclosures are available.

Short Term Absences

Full-time employees will accrue short-term absences on the basis of 1/2 day per month.  These short-term absence days/hours can be used in case of illness, personal business, bereavement, or a variety of circumstances to be approved by the supervisor.  Part-time employees are eligible for paid short-term absences on a pro-rated basis.

Credit Union

If you want “No Charge” checking, join the Ohio Education Credit Union.  Other available services are:  direct deposit or payroll deduction into any Credit Union account, loans, money market accounts, ATM cards with no surcharges, check debit cards, internet service, two Visa options, and 24-hour account access.

Direct Deposit Payroll

Direct Deposit is required of all employees and employees may designate up to three (3) participating financial institutions to receive their net pay.
