At UCP of Greater Cleveland, we feel strongly that every individual no matter their level of ability should have the opportunity to grow, learn, interact and be a part of the community. The Adult Day Support program provides those opportunities to individuals with a wide variety of different types of moderate to severe disabilities. Our program specializes in serving individuals with high medical and physical needs and provides a safe, caring environment, opportunities to interact with friends and peers while receiving support with mobility, daily living, personal care and emotional growth. Individuals are also encouraged to set personal life goals for growth that will enhance their quality of life, including physical, cognitive and social goals. Staff work with the each individual to implement a plan to reach those goals. While at the program, clients have well-trained, caring direct care professionals providing enriching activities designed to meet the their individual interests and encourage personal development. Activities include things like art and music therapy; aquatic therapy, wheelchair tai chi, gardening and sensory stimulation. Clients and staff also enjoy community outings to local museums, parks, libraries, cultural events and sports.
