Get to Know the UCP Staff – Vol. 1

Every week at UCP we feature a staff member in something we call an “Employee Spotlight” where they tell us a little about themselves – their family, their hobbies/ interests and little known facts about them. It’s a fun way to get to know our co-workers a little better! One question the staff answer is “What do you like most about your work at UCP of Greater Cleveland?” We would like to share their responses with you so that you can get to know us a little better as well. Every month we will publish new responses from staff.

Trish Otter, President & CEO (16 years at UCP):

“I am proud to work with so many selfless and hardworking people. While we are all working toward one mission, I have the honor of singing your praises to the community.”

Carmen Martinez, OakLeaf Day Services Supervisor (14 years at UCP):

“The relationships I build with my clients and families and knowing I devote myself to help them in any way!”

Kate Lowery, LeafBridge Physical Therapy Assistant (1.5 years at UCP):

“I love being a part of helping a child reach their highest potential. It’s truly a team effort to ensure that our clients receive the best, most comprehensive care. I am so lucky I get to work with awesome kids, families and co-workers on a daily basis.”

Beth Lucas, Chief Operations Officer (Almost 10 years at UCP):

“Having the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people including clients, team members, Board members, donors and the general public. Using my skill set to impact clients and team members and recognizing that each person does so in their own way. No two days are the same—every day is an adventure at UCP.”

Austin Graham, IT Assistant (8 years at UCP):

“I enjoy helping everyone here at UCP! That might be a client, staff or sometimes a client’s parent.”
