Get to Know the UCP Staff – Vol. 2

Every week at UCP we feature a staff member in something we call an “Employee Spotlight” where they tell us a little about themselves – their family, their hobbies/ interests and little known facts about them. It’s a fun way to get to know our co-workers a little better! One question the staff answer is “What do you like most about your work at UCP of Greater Cleveland?” We would like to share their responses with you so that you can get to know us a little better as well. Every month we will publish new responses from staff.

Emily Hastings, Special Events & Marketing Coordinator (5 years at UCP):

“I love planning events, promoting our mission to the broader community, raising money so we can continue to provide exceptional programming to our clients, and talking with our clients and sharing their stories through our blog.”

Amy Vedova, Activities & Training Manager (4 years at UCP):

“I am lucky enough to say I enjoy coming to work every day. What I like most about UCP, is making a difference in the lives of our clients. Whether that is finding them a person-centered volunteer opportunity, partying with them at a special event, or assisting them with personal care. When they smile, I smile!”

Steve Molchan, OakLeaf Day Services Manager (Almost 2 years at UCP):

“Encouraging individuals we serve as well as staff to be their best. I feel all my years of experience has led me to this position.”

Rachel Verde, LeafBridge Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – School-Based (9 years at UCP):

“The collaboration of our therapists to create unique and effective therapy sessions for our kids. I love my co-workers!”
