National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 2019

March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (NDDAM), which highlights the many ways people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities. This campaign seeks to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life, as well as awareness to the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live, whether that be through education, employment or community living.

During this month, organizations across the nation hope to teach the importance of inclusion. Click here to hear what inclusion means to people with and without disabilities. To read some of our clients’ stories about inclusion, visit our Success Stories page.
