LeafBridge Halloween Wheelchair Costume Making Night 2019

UCP of Greater Cleveland’s LeafBridge Therapy hosted its fourth annual Halloween Wheelchair Costume Making Event last night. The event is designed for children with disabilities who use wheelchairs, providing them with a uniquely-crafted costume to incorporate their wheelchair. More than 50 UCP staff and volunteers came together to create costumes for 16 pre-selected children just in time for Halloween trick-or-treating. Volunteers included firefighters from Elyria Local 474 and Cleveland Local 93/Engine 10. Materials and supplies for the costume build were donated by Kathy Koehl at Dorn Color Company and the Elyria Elks Lodge #465. Food for the event was donated by John Zidian Company/Gia Russa. Ice cream was donated by Dairy Queen. Thank you to everyone for helping to make this event so memorable! To view all the photos, go to our Facebook page here.
