Assistive Technology for Work

Assistive Technology is instrumental in UCP’s support of the Ohio Employment First Initiative in helping individuals with disabilities to access vocational opportunities.

AT for work includes evaluation and recommendations specific to a range of assistive technology solutions. Some examples include computer access, tools for reading/writing/speaking, ergonomic supports, mobility/physical access, and organizational tools.

The outcome of the service are modifications to the physical environment or equipment that will enhance the individual’s independence and employment options, or to provide assistive technology devices and services to promote employability and independence.
